Star Student of the Week
This Week's Star Student:
On Monday, please bring in your completed “All About Me!” Poster that was given during Back to School Night. Please go over the poster with your child because they will be ask to present in front of the class. Not only is this fun for your child, but it is also great for language development.
On Tuesday, your child should bring a poster board with about a dozen photographs of him/herself, the family, birthdays, pets, trips, or anything of interest. These pictures will be displayed for the week in the classroom. Your child should be able to tell the class about each of the pictures.
On Wednesday, your child should bring ONE favorite book from home
On Thursday, the class will create a friendship book for your child to keep as a keepsake.
On Friday, your family is invited to our class for a “Get to know your family” interview. The family visit takes place from 8:10 – 8:30 a.m. Siblings are welcome to attend. (No Pets Please!) Students will ask you 5-10 questions about yourselves, your interests as a family, favorite colors, etc.
This is a very special meaningful time for each child. It helps to teach the differences and similarities in our community. Sharing ourselves promotes further compassion, feeling of togetherness, and a general appreciation for the family unit.
Thank you for your willingness to help make your child the special person he/she is!
Hope to see you soon!
